Press Button Knife Co #102 medium double Tortoise celluloid automatic knife

Antique Press Button Knife Co model #102 medium double switchblade knife with tortoise celluloid handles made in Walden, NY sometime between 1892 and 1923. It measures 3 3/8" closed and 6 5/8 inches with both blades open and has brass liners and nickel silver buttons. It is the middle one of three sizes of switchblade doubles made by the company. The blades are 90% full with some patina & light pitting. Both blades are marked PRESS BUTTON KNIFE CO WALDEN NY and both have US PAT 470605 on the back of the tangs. The tortoise celluloid scales are in fair condition with a little internal cracking. The knife works well with both blade tips below the liners closed, open nicely and lock open. No kickback. Small blade has good lockup, but large blade is loose with 1/4" movement at the tip. Rattles if shaken with blade open. G- condition.
