Press Button Knife Co #102 medium double Tortoise celluloid automatic knife

Antique Press Button Knife Co model #102 medium double switchblade knife with tortoise celluloid handles made in Walden, NY sometime between 1892 and 1923. It measures 3 3/8" closed and 6 5/8 inches with both blades open and has brass liners and nickel silver buttons. It is the middle of three sizes of switchblade doubles made by the company. The blades are both 95% full or better and sharpened with some patina, peppering and light scratches. Both blades are marked PRESS BUTTON KNIFE CO WALDEN NY and both have US PAT 470605 on the back of the tangs. The tortoise celluloid scales are in very good condition with no cracks. The knife works well with both blade tips just below the liners closed, good snap and excellent lockup. Small blade has some kickback. No rattle if shaken with blades open. VG+ condition.
