PRESS BUTTON KNIFE CO #1005 the VICTOR Antique switchblade knife made by the Press Button Knife Co a division of the Walden Knife Co of Walden, NY sometime before 1923. This model was called "The VICTOR" (originally etched on the face of the blade) and it's the largest model that they made. It's the same size as the more common Invincible model, but with folding guards and it measures 4 7/8 inches closed and 8 5/8 inches open with steel liners and nickel silver bolsters, button and folding guards. The clip blade is 98% full or better and shiny with some light scratches and is about 1/8 inch short and the tang is marked PRESS BUTTON KNIFE CO WALDEN NY on the front of the tang. The dyed jigged bone scales are very attractive and in excellent condition. The knife works great with blade tip well below the liners closed, Strong snap and average lockup with about 1/16" movement each way at the tip. Rattles if shaken with blade open as most of these 100 year old switchblades do. EX condition.
