PETER MARTIN KNIVES NO 3 Custom Damascus Mammoth Ivory Bolster release automatic knife measures 8.25 inches open and 4 5/8 inches closed with stainless steel liners and hand engraved bolsters by Dennis Zeits. The blade is hand made Damascus with beautiful file work on the spine and back spring and liners. The scales are Mammoth Ivory and in beautiful condition! The knife functions just as it should with blade tip deep and centered in the well closed, strong snap and TIGHT lockup!

Peter Martin has been making custom knives since 1988 and each knife is hand made, one-at-a-time by him in his shop. He uses only the best materials including hand forged steel and Damascus. Peter guarantees and stands behind his knives 100% and many of his knives sell for $5000 or more. This is one of his first 10 automatic knives and is lightly stamped "NO 3" along the spine, making it the 3rd automatic that he ever made! When we asked him what he thought the value is he said conservatively $3500-4000 in perfect condition. Unfortunately this knife was exposed to a little moisture in storage and there are several pit spots along the cutting edge and at the tip so we're pricing it accordingly. Overall this is a very nice knife made by a true knife making master!
