PATENT ROSTFREI Italian Trapdoor OTF automatic knife made in Italy by Rosa Uliana Primo in the 1960s. This knife is New Old Stock that was found in a box of knives leftover from the factory in 2021 after sitting for almost 60 years. The knife measures 21cm (8.25 inches) open and 4 7/8 inches closed with nickel silver plated frame, bolsters, button and safety and trapdoor. The flat grind swedge blade is 100% full with all of the original finish intact with light scratches and is stamped PATENT ROSTFREI on the ricasso. The horn scales are in excellent condition and are mostly black with a little tan streaking. The knife works great. To open move trapdoor to the side and hold parallel with the ground, or pointed down and press button. Opens fully and locks when button is pressed. To close press button and gently push blade down until tip is close to the top bolster, then use the hinged trapdoor to push it the rest of the way closed and cock the knife so it's ready to open again. Safety works. EX+ NOS condition.
