OTHELLO ANTON WINGEN JR SOLINGEN GERMANY 11cm German SPRINGER Stag lever Shell puller switchblade knife most likely made in the 1960s or 70s. German automatics are usually referred to by the length closed in CM and this one measures 11.4cm (4.5 inches) closed and 7 7/8 inches open with brass liners and German silver bolsters and lever with brass pins. The spear point blade is 99% full with patina and nail nick with the tang stamped ANTON WINGEN JR SOLINGEN GERMANY on the front and OTHELLO with a bearded man's head outline. The stag scales are very nice and have some character and the bottom bolster is stamped SPRINGER. The knife works great with the blade tip well below the liners closed, strong snap and excellent lockup open with about 1/16" of down at the tip that springs back when you let go. Does not rattle if shaken with blade open. Outsiders Johnny Cade knife.
