OMEGA IMPORT CO 14cm Italian Picklock 1950s vintage automatic knife

Vintage OMEGA IMPORT CO 14cm Italian Picklock automatic knife made in Italy in the 1950s and imported into the US by Omega Import Co located in NY. The import company was originally named Omega Jewelry & Leather Novelty Co and the name was later changed in November of 1950 to Omega Import Co. The knife measures 14cm (5.5 inches) open and 3 1/16 inches closed with D stamped brass liners and nickel silver bolsters, button and safety cap. The bayonet style blade is 98% full or better with patina and some spotting and the ricasso is stamped OMEGA IMPORT CO MADE IN ITALY. The scales (handles) are genuine horn, mostly translucent green and black in color and in very nice condition. The knife works well with blade tip deep & centered closed, good snap and excellent lockup open. Short throw safety works. VG+ condition. These smaller picklocks are harder to find and usually the ones missing from collectors' sets.
