No 6 SHEFFIELD STEEL 22cm Indian Shell puller lever Brass & Horn vintage automatic knife

Vintage No 6 SHEFFIELD STEEL 22cm Indian Shell puller lever Brass & Horn automatic knife made in India sometime between 1930 & 1960s using stampings (markings) copied from English knives that they had seen. This knife has partial shell pullers built into the bolsters, but these are only decorational and not functional on this knife. It measures 22.3cm (8.75 inches) open and 4 7/8 inches closed (not counting the pullers) with steel liners & pins and brass bolsters & lever. The spear point blade is 99% full, or better shiny with original finish mostly intact. The blade face is lightly stamped SHEFFIELD along the spine (partially readable) and the tang is stamped No 6 SHEFFIELD STEEL on the front and has image of Crossed Arrows with sliver moon and a star on the reverse. The horn scales (handles) are in very good condition with a couple of minor scratches from handling/use. The knife works well with blade tip below the liners closed, good snap and excellent lockup with about less than 1/16" movement at the tip. Does not Rattle when shaken open except for the lever.  EX condition.
