Mini RPK 12cm Russian Prison Knife Aluminum w flowers vintage automatic knife

Vintage Mini RPK 12cm Russian Prison Knife Aluminum automatic knife with engraved flowers. It is believed that these knives were made by inmates of Russian prisons back in the 1950s to 80s to be sold to raise capital for the prisons and given as gifts by prison personnel. They were all hand made and very unique and beautiful pieces of Russian cutlery Folk Art. This knife measures 11.5cm (4.5 inches) open with aluminum frame & 100% full carbon steel blade with no markings. Frame has a flower pattern engraved on both sides and sliding safety. The knife works well with the blade tip seating deep in the well when closed, smooth snap and good lockup when open with about 1/8" up and down at the tip. Does not rattle if shaken with blade open. EX- condition.
