Vintage 1950s Mauro Mario Italian 13 inch picklock stiletto automatic knife. Measures 7 1/8 inches closed and 13 1/8 inches (33cm) open with brass liners and nickel silver bolsters, button and safety cap. The bayonet style blade is nearly full with patina, light scratches and some light pitting and is stamped MAURO MARIO MADE IN ITALY. The horn scales are in good condition and colorful with translucent green, cream and yellowed white and have some minor imperfections and maybe a couple of bug bit patches. The knife works GREAT with the blade tip seating deep and centered, strong spring and good lockup. It is a little finicky in that you have to pry the locking tab from the backside when releasing the blade to close where normally most people pry on the front edge. Opens and closes fine as long as you remember that. ;^) Safety works great. Really nice EX- condition old large Italian picklock from the 1950s.
