MAKINOX 24cm French Derby Lever Imitation Stag vintage automatic knife

Vintage MAKINOX 24cm French Derby Lever Imitation Stag vintage automatic knife made in France in the 1960s or 70s most likely.

It measures 24.2cm (9.5 inches) open and 5 3/8 inches closed with Brass liners and solid Nickel Silver bolsters, lever and lanyard ring.

The flat grind spearpoint blade is 100% full with all of the original factory finish with light scratches and is marked MAKINOX on the tang (ricasso).

The Faux Stag scales are very attractive and in great condition with a little shrinkage and the flat lanyard ring is slightly bent. The bolsters have built in finger guards and are fondly referred to as "Derby" bolsters because they look like Derby hats.

Function is excellent with blade tip deep and centered closed, STRONG snap and very good lockup open with about 1/8" up and down at the tip. EX- condition.
