Vintage INOX 22cm Italian Deer foot Shark Tooth Fulcrum release Shell puller switchblade made in Italy in the 1960s or 70s. I've heard this style called both Deer foot and Shark tooth, which I feel is the better name for it personally. Whatever you call it, it's not an easy knife to find. The knife measures 21.9cm (8 5/8 inches) open and 5 1/16 inches closed with brass liners, steel top bolsters & safety and nickel silver bottom bolsters, button and fulcrum lever. The swedge clip blade is 100% full with original finish intact and some light scratches and the ricasso is stamped INOX. The genuine Brazilian horn scales are very attractive with translucent green, brown, black, cream and a little rust color on the back scale at the bottom and are in excellent condition. The shell pullers are stamped 16 on the front and 12 on the top back bolster. The knife works great with blade tip centered and well below the liners closed, good snap and very good lockup with less than 1/16" movement at the tip. It does rattle if shaken with blade open. The blade is released to close by pushing the fulcrum release lever forward. Safety works, but is a little loose. EX+ condition.
