Though the knife is marked No 6 Sheffield Steel, this knife was made in India most likely before 1960. The blade is also engraved Best Steel along the spine. The knife measures just under 11 inches open with steel liners and brass bolsters and release lever. This knife originally had shell pullers on the top bolsters, but someone ground them off, probably many years ago. The flat grind spear point blade appears to be nearly full with patina, pitting and scratches, but overall a decent blade. The horn scales are dark and in good condition with no cracks, or bug bites. They do show signs of years of use and have some random red spots on the front scale and a few little nicks. The knife works well with the blade tip seating deep, strong snap and fair lockup. This is another OLD switchblade knife with lots of character.
