Vintage Imperial toothpick Rare candystripe switchblade knife made in Providence, RI in the 1950s by the Imperial Knife Co. It measures 4.25 inches closed and 7 5/8 inches open and has steel liners, button & safety. The clip blade is 99% full with most of the original factory finish and some light spotting and is marked Imperial PROV USA on the front and the back is marked with 2 patent numbers ending in 2170537 and 2281782. The scales are hollow metal with Rare colored Red, white & yellow candystripe celluloid wraps that are in very good condition. The knife works well with blade tip below the liners closed, opens strong and locks open with about 3/16" up and down and side to side movement at the tip. Rattles if shaken with the blade open as most of these do. Safety works. VG+ condition.
