z IMPERIAL Toothpick Candystripe Vintage switchblade knife JM90PBC

Vintage Imperial toothpick style candystripe switchblade knife made in Providence, RI in the 1950s by the Imperial Knife Co. It measures 4.25 inches closed and 7 5/8 inches open with brass liners, steel button and nickel silver safety. The blade is full with most of the original factory finish and some pitting mainly in one area on the front and is marked Imperial PROV USA on the front of the tang and the back is marked 2170537 P 2281782. The scales are hollow metal with candystripe celluloid wraps that are in excellent condition. The knife works well. Blade tip seats Deep and centered in the well, opens Strong and excellent lockup with less than 1/16" up and down at the tip. Does NOT rattle if shaken with the blade open. Safety works. EX+ condition.
