IMPERIAL Toothpick Candystripe Vintage switchblade knife JM90PBC

Vintage Imperial toothpick style candystripe switchblade knife made in Providence, RI in the 1950s by the Imperial Knife Co. It measures 4.25 inches closed and 7 5/8 inches open and has steel liners, button and safety. The blade is nearly full with most of the original factory finish and some light scratches and is marked Imperial PROV USA on the front and the back is marked with 2 patent numbers ending in 37 and 82. The scales are hollow metal with candystripe celluloid wraps that are in very good condition. The knife works well. Blade tip seats deep in the well, opens strong and very good lockup open with just a bit of up and down at the tip. Rattles slightly if shaken with the blade open. Safety works. EX condition.
