Vintage Imperial toothpick style candystripe switchblade knife. This knife was made in Providence, RI in the 1950s by the Imperial Knife Co. It measures 4.25 inches closed and 7 5/8 inches open and has steel liners. The blade is nearly full with most of the original factory finish and some spotting and is marked Imperial PROV USA on the front and the back is marked with 2 patent numbers ending in 37 and 82. The scales are hollow metal with candystripe celluloid wraps that are in good condition with one small missing piece on the bottom of the back wrap. The knife works well. Blade tip seats just above the liners closes, opens strong and locks open with about 3/16" up and down and a little side to side movement at the tip. Rattles if shaken with the blade open. Safety works. G+ condition.
