Vintage Imperial toothpick style candystripe switchblade. This knife was made in Providence, RI in the 1950s by the Imperial Knife Co. It measures 4.25 inches closed and 7 5/8 inches open and has brass liners. The blade is full with most of the original factory finish and is marked Imperial PROV USA on the front and the back is marked with 2 patent numbers ending in 37 and 82. The scales are hollow metal with candystripe celluloid wraps that are in nice condition with unusual diagonal lines. The knife works well. Blade tip seats deep, opens strong and locks open well about 1/16" up and down at the tip. Safety works. EX condition.
