Imperial Jackomatic Jr Letter Opener automatic Fantasy knife. As a long time collector of old American switchblade knives I had always wondered if Imperial ever made a switchblade letter opener knife, like Schrade, Flylock and Presto did. I did find some mini letter openers by Imperial using tiny manual folding knives, but no automatic version. After looking for many years and never finding one I decided to have a couple of them made up by a friend using original Imperial Jackomatic Jr keychain switchblades from the 1950s and some original Imperial manual letter openers for cool little Fantasy Imperial switchblade letter openers! Pretty cool and useful little office tools! I use one all the time and I think Imperial really missed an opportunity by not making them.

The knife on this one is in very good condition with a full blade. Hard to read the IMPERIAL tang stamp on the front, but you can easily read the two patent dates on the backside. The blade doesn't always go to full lock position, but does most of the time with good lockup. No peek and the safety works. VG+ condition.
