Vintage Imperial keychain switchblade with brown pearl black mottled celluloid wrapped handles. The knife was made by the Imperial Knife Co of Providence, RI in the 1950s and was designated the model JM96PB. It came with a beaded chain on a shackle to attach keys, etc. The knife measures 2.25 inches closed and 3.75 inches open with brass liners. The blade is stamped IMPERIAL USA with two patent numbers on the back ending in 37 & 82, but hard to make out. The blade is mostly full with patina and light scratches. The brown/black mottled celluloid scales are in nice shape with minimal shrinkage. The knife works well with the blade tip above the liners closed, opens fully, but doesn't lock open. Would look great on a reproduction display card. Safety does work. G+ condition.
