Hammer Brand Imperial toothpick cracked ice

Imperial Hammer Brand toothpick switchblade made by the Imperial Knife Co of Providence, RI in the 1950s. The scales are commonly referred to as "cracked ice" and are hollow steel wrapped in a thin layer of celluloid. The knife measures 4.25 inches closed and 7 5/8 inches open with steel liners. Stamped Hammer Brand USA with a picture of an arm holding a hammer on the tang and 2 sets of patent numbers on the rear. The blade is full with most of the original factory finish with a couple of pepper spots. Works well with blade tip seating below the liners, good snap and above average lockup for a used Hammer Brand. Does rattle if shaken with blade open, as most of these do with a lot of use. Safety works.
