Vintage Hammer Brand toothpick style switchblade made in Providence, RI in the 1950s by the Imperial Knife Co and was designated the model # JM-90_PBC. This knife measures 4.25 inches closed and 7 5/8 inches open and has brass liners. The scales are hollow metal wrapped in Blue Pearl Green swirl celluloid and are in great condition. The blade is nearly full and shiny with some light scratches. It's marked Hammer Brand USA on the front with a picture of an arm holding a hammer. The back is marked with 2 patent numbers. The knife works well. Blade tip seats deep, opens fully and good lockup with a little movement at the tip. Safety works. Nice old American fisherman's switchblade.
