Hammer Brand Imperial Toothpick Fisherman's Switchblade knife w/ Scaler blade
Hammer Brand toothpick made by the Imperial Knife Co of Providence,RI in the 1950s pattern number JM90PBFC. The knife measures 4.25 inches closed and 7 5/8 inches open with brass liners and nickel silver button and safety. The blade is 100% full and shiny with most of the original factory finish with some light scratches & light spotting. The tang is stamped Hammer Brand USA with picture of an arm holding a hammer on the front and PAT NOS over 2170537 & 2281782 on the backside. This is a less common version Fisherman's knife with fish scaler blade. The handles are hollow steel wrapped in Faux Pearl (Cracked Ice) celluloid and are in very good condition. The knife works well with blade tip deep and centered in the well closed, opens strong and locks open with about 1/8" up and down and side to side. Rattles if shaken when open as most of these do that have been used over the years. Safety works. EX condition.
