Hammer Brand Imperial toothpick crossguard Firebrick vintage switchblade

Vintage Hammer Brand crossguard toothpick automatic knife made by the Imperial Knife Co of Providence, RI in the 1950s and designated the model #JM101PB. The knife measures 4.25 inches closed and 7.5 inches open with brass liners and hollow steel handles wrapped in celluloid with brass button & steel safety. The clip blade is 96% full or better and shiny with light scratches and some scattered peppering and is stamped Hammer Brand USA with picture of an arm holding a hammer on the front and P 2170537 over 2281782 on the back. This is the less common version with finger guards. The handles are nice with no dents and the Firebrick celluloid wraps are in very good condition and very attractive. The knife works well with blade tip deep & centered closed, opens strong and and locks open with about 1/8" up and down at the tip. Barely rattles if shaken when open. Safety works. VG+ condition.
