Vintage Hammer Brand toothpick style switchblade made in Providence, RI in the 1950s by the Imperial Knife Co. It was designate the model JM-90-PBC and measures 4.25 inches closed and 7.5 inches open and has steel liners, button & safety. The clip blade is 98% full and shiny with light patina, some light spotting and a little pitting on the tang which is marked Hammer Brand USA on the front with a picture of an arm holding a hammer. The backside is marked with 2 patent numbers. The scales are hollow metal wrapped in Cream & Coffee mottled celluloid and are very attractive and in very good condition with slight shrinkage. The knife works well. Blade tip seats deep, opens fully and locks up well with about 1/16" up and down at the tip. Nice old American fisherman's switchblade. Safety works. EX condition.
