Vintage Hammer Brand toothpick made by the Imperial Knife Co of Providence,RI in the 1950s. The knife measures 4.25 inches closed and 7 5/8 inches open with brass liners. The blade is stamped Hammer Brand USA with picture of an arm holding a hammer on the front and PAT NOS over two patent numbers on the back. The blade is 99% full with light patina and some light scratches. This is the less common version with finger guards. The scales are hollow steel wrapped in Faux pearl (cracked ice) celluloid and are in very good condition. The knife works well with blade tip sitting deep when closed, opens strong and locks open with a little movement each way. Does not rattle if shaken when open. The knife is in EX condition and is a really nice example of a working vintage American guarded toothpick switchblade from the early 1950s. 100% money back guarantee including return shipping if not happy with this knife.
