Vintage Hammer Brand Serpentine Utility Jack switchblade made by the Imperial Knife Co of Providence, RI in the 1950s and was designated the model JM98PB. The knife measures 3.5 inches closed and 6 1/4 inches open with steel liners & safety and nickel plated button. The clip blade is marked HAMMER BRAND USA with a picture of an arm holding a hammer and the back is marked P 2170537 over 2281782. The blade is 97% full with some spotting, light pit spots and light scratches, overall nice average blade. The handles (scales) are hollow steel with celluloid wrap in Copper & cream and in great condition with minimal shrinkage. These more interesting colors were used in the late 1940s, early 50s and are fun to collect. The knife works GREAT with the blade tip seating deep when closed, strong snap and tight lockup. Does not rattle if shaken with blade open as most of these do after years of use. 100% money back guarantee including return shipping if you're not happy with this knife! Safety works. VG+ condition.
