Hammer Brand Serpentine Utility Jack switchblade knife from the 1950s. This knife was made by the Imperial Knife Co of Providence, RI and was designated the model JM98PB. Measures 3.5 inches closed and 6.25 inches open with steel liners. The blade is marked HAMMER BRAND USA with a picture of an arm holding a hammer and the back is marked with two patent numbers. The blade is 100% full with all of the original factory finish intact! The handles (scales) are hollow steel with celluloid wrap in Faux Pearl (cracked ice) color which is the most common with these. The wraps are in very nice condition with minimal shrinkage. The knife works GREAT with the blade tip seating deep when closed, strong snap and TIGHT lockup open! Most would call this knife near mint, but I'm going to say EX+. They don't get much nicer for a 70 year old Imperial switchblade. 100% money back guarantee including return shipping if you're not happy with this knife!
