Vintage Hammer Brand toothpick style switchblade made in Providence, RI in the 1950s by the Imperial Knife Co and designated model #JM-90-PBC. This knife measures 4.25 inches closed and just over 7.5 inches open and has steel liners. The scales are hollow metal wrapped in Copper pearl orange swirl celluloid and in wonderful condition. The blade is full and shiny with some light scratches and a little light peppering on the back. It's marked Hammer Brand USA on the front with a picture of an arm holding a hammer. The back is marked with 2 patent numbers. The knife works well. Blade tip seats deep, opens fully and better than average lockup with a little movement each way at the tip. Safety works. Nice old American fisherman's switchblade in EX- condition.
