GEO SCHRADE KNIFE CO INC Pullball Vintage 1940s bone automatic knife

George Schrade Knife Co pullball switchblade with dyed jigged bone handles and silver metal ball. The blade is stamped G SCHRADE KNIFE CO INC B'PORT CT USA on the front and patent dates of 11-9-27 and 10-19-44 which are NOT the correct dates. Many of the pullballs were stamped with the wrong patent dates. They put two different sets of wrong dates on these knives as well as some variations with the correct dates. The knife measures 2 7/8" closed including the ball and just under 5 inches open with steel frame. The clip blade is 96% full with patina some light scratches & peppering. The jiggd bone handles (scales) are in good condition, but not original to the knife. You open the knife by pulling on the ball and blade does not lock open, just held in position by the backspring.  The knife works perfectly and is in VG+ condition.
