Vintage unmarked FROSOLONE 19cm Italian Picklock Flatguard automatic knife made in Frosolone Italy likely in the 1930s or 40s. The knife measures 19.2cm (7 9/16 inches) open and 4 1/8 inches closed with steel liners and brass bolsters, button and safety cap. The bayonet style blade is 95% full or better with heavy patina, spotting, scratches and some pitting and looks like what you might expect the blade of a nearly 100 year old loved and used switchblade to look. There are no makers markings on the blade. The scales (handles) are black horn with a little brown streaking and in very good condition with one hairline crack between two pins on the back scale that looks very stable. The knife works well with blade tip centered and below the liners closed, good snap and very good lockup with less than 1/32" of movement at the tip. No rattle if shaken with blade open. VG- condition.
