FRANK B MANGLE by Chad Ruben 29cm Italian Batwing Swing Guard Brass & Kirinite with Lion medallion. Mangle is a term used when someone takes a factory made knife and customizes it, usually with different handles and modified bolsters, guards, button, etc. This knife was customized (mangled) by Chad Ruben of Ruben's Blades. It started out as a Frank B 28cm swing guard and had the Bolsters, guards and scales removed and replace with hand made brass bolsters and guards and Red streaked Gray Kirinite scales that extend to a "glass breaker" point at the end (back) of the knife. The knife measures 29.2cm (11.5 inches) open and 6 3/8 inches closed with brass liners, bolsters, guards & pins and steel button. The bayonet blade is 100% full with original finish and the ricasso is stamped FRANK B ITALY. The scales are very attractive and in excellent condition with a Lion medallion where the safety would be (so no safety). The knife works great with blade tip deep & centered closed, strong snap and excellent lockup. No rattle if shaken with blade open. EX+ condition.
