Antique Flylock Hunter with Lazy W folding guards was made in Bridgeport, CT in the 1920s and it is the largest size switchblade made by the Flylock Knife Co. It was designated the model #11004 and measures a hair under 5" closed and 8.75 inches open with steel liners and nickel silver bolsters, button and guards. The clip blade is 99% full or better with light patina, spotting, light scratches with several small pit spots and is stamped Flylock REG US PAT OFF US PAT 3-5-18 on the front tang and THE FLYLOCK KNIFE CO B'PORT CONN on the rear. The black jigged (wormgroove) synthetic scales (handles) are in excellent condition with no cracks. This knife works well with the blade tip deep and centered closed, good snap and locks open with about 3/16" up and down and 1/16" side to side at the tip open. The knife rattles if shaken when open as most of these do after 100 years. EX- condition. Very nice example of an antique American folding guard switchblade.
