Antique Flylock Hunter with Lazy W folding guards was made in Bridgeport, CT in the 1920s and is the largest size switchblade made by the Flylock Knife Co. It was designated the model #11004 and measures 4 7/8" closed and 8 5/8 inches open with RARE BRASS liners and nickel silver bolsters, button and guards. The clip blade is 96% full or better and shiny with several very small pit spots and is stamped Flylock REG US PAT OFF US PAT 3-5-18 on the front tang and THE FLYLOCK KNIFE CO B'PORT CONN on the rear. The black jigged (wormgroove) synthetic scales (handles) are in excellent condition with no cracks. This knife works Great with the blade tip seating below the liners, good snap and fair lockup with about 1/16" movement each way and rattles if shaken when open as most of these do after 100 years. EX condition. Very nice example of an antique American folding guard switchblade.
