Flylock Vintage Hunter Lazy W folding guards Antique automatic knife
Vintage Flylock Hunter with Lazy W folding guards made in Bridgeport, CT in the 1920s and is the largest size switchblade made by the Flylock Knife Co designated model #11004. It measures 4 7/8" closed and 8 5/8 inches open with steel liners and nickel silver bolsters and guards. The blade is 97% full and shiny and is stamped Flylock REG US PAT OFF US PAT 3-5-18 on the front tang and THE FLYLOCK KNIFE CO B'PORT CONN on the rear. The black jigged synthetic wormgroove scales (handles) are in excellent condition with no cracks. This knife works Great with the blade tip seating deep and centered, good snap and good lockup with less than 1/16" movement each way and rattles if shaken when open as most of these do after 100 years. ;^) EX+ condition. Very nice example of an antique American folding guard switchblade.
