Vintage Flylock Scout hawk bill Black Wormgroove switchblade knife made by the Flylock Knife Co a division of the Challenge Cutlery Corp of Bridgeport, CT sometime between 1918 and 1929. The knife measures 4 1/8" closed and 6 7/8 inches open with steel liners and nickel silver bolsters & button. The hawkbill blade is mostly full and shiny with light scratches. The black worm groove synthetic scales are in excellent condition with no cracks and show some signs of handling/use over the years. The knife works great with blade tip below liners closed, strong snap and good lockup with about 1/16" up and down at the tip when open. It does rattle if shaken with blade open as most of these do. EX condition.
