Flylock Letter Opener Red THE BRANCH MIDDLE KAUFF Co advertising

Nice old Flylock letter opener switchblade made in Bridgeport, CT sometime in the 1920s. It was designated model #128LO and measures 10.75 inches open with brass liners. The blade is nearly full and mostly shiny with some light scratches and a lightly pitted area that you can see in the pics. Not bad. The blade is marked Flylock in script over REG US PAT OFF & FLYLOCK KNIFE CO BPORT CONN on the rear. The red synthetic scales are in very nice condition with advertising on the rear scale that reads THE BRANCH MIDDLE KAUFF Co. The knife works well with blade tip seating deep, good snap and tight lockup. The letter opener is in good condition and appears to hav been lightly cleaned. Office personnel don't get to use cool stuff like this anymore. ;^)
