Antique Flylock Scout 4 1/8" Black (Browning) wormgroove handled antique switchblade knife made by the Flylock Knife Co of Bridgeport, CT sometime between 1918 and 1929 and designated model number 12000. It measures 4 1/8" closed and just over 7 inches open with steel liners and nickel silver bolsters and button. The clip blade is 96% full or better and shiny with some scratches and a little dinged at the tip. The black wormgroove synthetic scales are in good condition and seem to be "browning" with age, or possibly were originally, with scuffs and light scratches from handling/use over the years. Front scale is completely brown and back scale is brown along the edges and scales look original. The knife works good with blade tip deep & centered closed, good snap and good lockup with about 1/8" up and down and a little side to side at the tip when open. Average for these in used condition. Does rattle if shaken when open as most of these do. VG condition.
