Edgemaster Vintage Fishtail Caramel swirl automatic knife saber blade

Vintage Edgemaster fishtail with tan swirl synthetic scales made by the Federal Knife Co of Providence, RI in the late 40s, or early 1950s. This knife was designated the model #301 and measures 4 inches closed and 7 inches open with brass liners, steel button & safety. The saber grind blade is mostly full (97%) and shiny with lots of sharpening/use scratches and is stamped Edgemaster USA. The tan Caramel swirl synthetic scales are in good condition with some shrinkage and initials "HM" lightly scratched into the back scale near bottom. The knife functions well with blade tip seating deep and centered, good snap and locks open with about 3/16" movement both ways at the tip. The knife does rattle if shaken when open as most of these old 50s American switchblades do that have been used over the years. The safety works. VG+ condition.
