Vintage Edgemaster fishtail switchblade with finger guards and painted handles made by the Federal Knife Co of Providence, RI in the late 1940s or early 1950s. I refer to these painted Edgemaster fishtails as "Tinnys" and they were painted in many bright colors. The bad news is that the paint wears off over time with use. Some of the paint is gone on this one mostly on the back. The knife measures 4 inches closed and 7 inches open with brass liners and steel button and safety. The saber grind clip blade is 97% full or better with lots of scratches from sharpening/use. The knife works well with the blade tip seating deep & centered, good snap and locks open with about 3/16" up and down and a little side to side movement at the tip. It does rattle if shaken with blade open as most of these do that have seen use. Safety works. VG condition.
