Vintage Edgemaster Tinny fishtail switchblade with finger guards (bowtie) and painted handles. I refer to these painted Edgemaster fishtails as "Tinnys" and they were painted in many bright colors. This knife was made by the Federal Knife Co of Providence, RI in the late 1940s or early 50s and measures 4 inches closed and 7 inches open with brass liners and steel button & safety. The saber clip blade is 97% full or better and shiny original finish and some light scratches and the tang is stamped Edgemaster USA. The scales (handles) are hollow, stamped out & painted, this one has original paint on the back scale black streaked cream and the front was painted over in black. The knife works well with the blade tip seating deep and centered, good snap and very good lockup. Does not rattle if shaken as most of these do that have seen use. Safety works. VG+ condition.
