z Edgemaster Silver Bowtie All metal 1940s Vintage automatic knife

Edgemaster bowtie switchblade made in the late 40s, or early 1950s. This knife was made by the Federal Knife Co of Providence, RI and it measures 4 inches closed and 7 1/8" open with brass liners and steel button and safety. The saber grind blade is nearly full and shiny with some light scratches and is stamped Edgemaster USA. The metal scales are in excellent condition and most likely were painted originally, but no trace of paint left if so. The knife functions well with blade tip seating deep and centered, good snap and locks open with some movement each way with approx 1/8" up and down and side to side. The knife does rattle if shaken when open as most of these old 50s American switchblades do that have been used over the years. The safety works. VG condition
