This is a limited edition reproduction of an original early 1950s display board used to sell Edgemaster switchblade knives on store counters and would have been used from the late 1940s to mid 1950s. These would sit on store counters and shelves holding up to 12 switchblade knives so the customer could just take off the knife that they wanted and buy it. This card was made with images from an original that I own and is made just like the originals except for authentication on the back by the author of the book Antique American Switchblades. It also has a production number, serial number and is autographed. This is a GREAT way to both collect-as-you-go adding knives to the board, and also to display your knives. This display might have held cigar jacks, fishtails, bowties or fatjacks. The original boards are nearly impossible to find, so this gives average collectors a chance to collect and display their knives the way they were displayed when new! I'm including an extra picture of a board with the knives on it, but the knives are obviously NOT included. This is for one empty reproduction display board.
