Edgemaster Paratrooper style Scout vintage 1940s all metal automatic knife made in USA

Vintage Edgemaster Paratrooper style 4 1/8" all metal automatic knife made in USA by the Federal Knife Co of Providence, RI in the late 1940s or early 50s. It measures 4 1/8" closed and 6 7/8 inches open with steel liners, handles, button, safety and lanyard ring. The blade is nearly full at about 99% or better with much of the original finish intact with some spotting and scratches from use, overall nice blade. The hollow metal scales are stamped out of flat steel to resemble stag, or bone and were originally painted black, but the paint is nearly all gone. There are just a couple of places that still have some black paint on these handles, most of it has worn off. Scales are in good condition and held on by brass pins. The knife functions well, with blade tip deep and centered in the well closed, good snap and good lockup with about 1/16" up and down at the tip when open. Does rattle if shaken when open. Safety does work. VG+ condition.
