Edgemaster Fishtail Red brown swirl 1950s vintage switchblade knife

Edgemaster fishtail with Red brown synthetic scales made by the Federal Knife Co of Providence, RI in the late 40s, or early 1950s. This knife was designated the model #301 and measures 4 inches closed and 7 1/8" open with brass liners, steel button & safety. The blade is nearly full (98% or better) and shiny with most of the original factory finish intact and is stamped Edgemaster USA. The Reddish brown synthetic scales are in very good condition with some shrinkage. The knife functions well with blade tip deep and centered in the well, good snap and good lockup with about 1/8" up and down at the tip. The knife does rattle if shaken when open as most of these old 50s American switchblades do. The safety works. EX condition.
