Edgemaster Fishtail Green Swirl 1950s American switchblade knife

Vintage Edgemaster fishtail with green synthetic scales made by the Federal Knife Co of Providence, RI in the late 40s, or early 1950s. This knife was designated the model #301 and measures 4 inches closed and 7 1/8" open with brass liners, steel button and nickel silver safety. The flat clip blade is nearly full with most of the original finish and some light scratches and pitting near the tip and is stamped Edgemaster USA. The green white swirl scales are in very good condition with some shrinkage and some light handling marks. The knife functions good with blade tip seating deep, opens fully and seems to lock open, but if you push on the blade it will close without pressing the button. The knife does not rattle if shaken when open as most of these old 50s American switchblades do. The safety works. VG condition.
