Edgemaster fishtail with light blue, pink & white swirl synthetic scales made by the Federal Knife Co of Providence, RI in the late 40s, or early 1950s. This knife was designated the model #301 and measures 4 inches closed and 7 1/8" open with brass liners, steel button and nickel silver safety. The blade is full and shiny with the original factory finish intact and is stamped Edgemaster USA. The attractive blue/white/pink swirl synthetic scales are in very good condition with some shrinkage with one hairline crack at the bottom of the front scale. The knife functions well with blade tip deep in the well closed, good snap and good lockup with about 1/8" up and down at the tip. The knife does rattle if shaken when open as most of these old 50s American switchblades do. The safety works. EX condition.
