Edgemaster Fishtail Blue Sparkle 1950s vintage switchblade knife 301

Vintage Edgemaster fishtail switchblade with Blue Sparkle synthetic scales made by the Federal Knife Co of Providence, RI in the late 40s, or early 1950s. This knife was designated the model #301 and measures 4 inches closed and 7 1/16" open with brass liners and steel button & safety. The blade is nearly full (about 98%) and shiny with some minor imperfections and is stamped Edgemaster USA. The synthetic Blue Sparkle scales are in good condition with some shrinkage and very attractive. The knife functions well with blade tip seating deep, good snap and locks open with better than average lockup (1/16" up and down) The knife does not rattle if shaken when open as most of these old 50s American switchblades do. The safety does not work, but many didn't work properly when new. VG+ condition.
