Edgemaster Fatjack Smokey swirl vintage switchblade knife
Edgemaster Fatjack Smokey swirl vintage switchblade knife
Vintage Edgemaster fatjack Smokey swirl switchblade made by the Federal Knife Co of Providence, RI in the late 1940s, or early 50s and was designated the model #102. The knife measures 4 1/8 inches closed and just 6.75 inches open with brass liners, steel button and nickel silver safety & pins. The blade is about 95% full and shiny with light scratches and some spotting and light pitting and is marked Edgemaster in script over USA. The Swirling Smoke synthetic scales are in fair condition with a couple of cracks in the front scale from safety slot through spring pin. The knife works well with the blade tip seating deep, good snap and fair lockup with about 1/16" movement each way as most of these old used switchblades do. Rattles if shaken with blade open. Nice working example of a vintage American fatjack switchblade. Safety works. VG condition.
