Edgemaster Fatjack Red Orange swirl vintage switchblade knife made USA
Vintage 1940s Edgemaster fatjack red orange swirl switchblade knife. This knife was made by the Federal Knife Co of Providence, RI in the late 1940s, or early 50s and was designated the model #102. The knife measures 4 1/8 inches closed and just under 7 inches open with brass liners, steel button and nickel silver safety. The blade is nearly full with the original factory finish, some light scratches and a tiny nick in the cutting edge and is marked Edgemaster in script over USA. The red, orange, pink white swirled synthetic scales are in very good condition with some light scuffs, a little shrinkage. The knife works well with the blade tip seating deep, good snap and good lockup with a little movement each way (less than 1/16 inch) as most of these old used switchblades do. It does rattle if shaken with the blade open, again, as most of these 70 year old switchblades do if they've seen any use over the years. Very nice working example of a vintage American fatjack switchblade. Safety works. VG+ condition.
